Went out with a torch at 11pm last night to earth up my Spuds because I hadn't paid attention to the earlier weather forecasts ... of course I set off with a conventional torch rather than a head-torch and then tried to make do holding it in my mouth!!

        Minimum temperature 2.5C so I'm glad I did ...

watering really.. its so dry on the ground out there thanks to a mixture of sun, and wind.. it's been really sunny here this year no doubt about that.

The side border is really romping away, looking much better than the garden in general. Bulbs starting to emerge, Begonias, Dahlias and Eucomis doing well!

Also planted an Impatiens tinctoria in that border today!

Did another volunteer stint at the plant centre this morning planting up hanging baskets and spent the rest of the afternoon weeding and watering my own garden and planting a Tree fern.

Nothing in the garden BUT I've just finished tidying up my shed. It's only taken me a week, the final touch was laying down the length of carpet I 'aquired'. :dbgrtmb: Now I can get the old motorbike on the road again.

                Cheers, Tony.

Got 2 beds done with begonias, salvias and cannas. Another 2 to do tomorrow.
Potted up a ghost fern I brought today and did then 2 hanging baskets with trailing fuchsias and trailing geraniums and 3 troughs.
Potted on a campanula that I had to buy because the little un wanted a purple flower

The last of my greenhouse toms are now in there buckets, just waiting for the weather to warm up now so I can plant out the others. Planted out Papaver today also. I've watered the contents of the greenhouse this evening and will be off shortly to do everything that's hardening off outside, just waiting for the sun to set. :)
