Thanks mate :) - still WAY behind the standard of yours, but I am getting there with it. The greenhouse has been a godsend to be honest, and much better than the polytunnel that I was using last year.

I really thought those petunias were done for when I moved them on into those trays, but they have come away leaps and bounds. I planted a few of them into some baskets a week or so ago, which I have hanging off the rafters of the greenhouse at the moment, and they are romping away.

The other really good thing about the greenhouse is that I can be out there tomorrow, potting stuff on while the rain is lashing down - I've even got the oil filled rad to keep me warm if it gets a bit chilly, and the radio for company; happy days :)

Your petunias and nicotiana are doing really well FC. Mine are pathetic, they really don't want to put on any top growth.

Its still quite cool over on the Isle though isn't it Sheal? I've been lucky here really - lowest overnight temp was around 4º, and I just used the radiator to keep things ticking over; since then, its been quite warm with daytime temps up to 23-24º on Saturday.

My wee garden seems to be quite well sheltered too, which helps a bit.

It's the day time temperatures that are low FC, overnight they are quite good. Right now it's 9C and unlikely to drop much below that.

Felt like I was playing cards in the greenhouse today - loads of shuffling!

Potted on the last of the greenhouse tomatoes (still near on 50 in the house, but they are really, really leggy so I will have to harden my heart and pick the best few only and ditch the rest - not as if I am short of tomato plants!)

Then, I sowed 73 lupin seeds - goodness knows where I will put them if they all germinate! And apart from watering later on, that is me for the day, as I am just having a bite to eat before heading out to see the doctor.

Cut all the lawns , finally planted out the last of the bedding into the half oak barrel in the front garden felt a bit bad as I had 5 tulips still in full flower but .... out they all came,

Mrs Pollock a geranium grown for its leaves but has tiny red flowers at the back of the barrel and I have planted African marigold and then couple of french at the front so finaly front garden all sorted out so just watering and feeding for the rest of the summer , the rest of the houses look like they are NOT going to plant out much probably missed the urge to do it and as the season progresses people tend not to bother I can understand with what's happened the past couple of years though plus I only have one other house that is competing for best basket (bring it on ) :snork:

Finally the greenhouse has space so I potted up the courgettes into bigger pots so I will plant out in two weeks.

Just got back from seeing friends so cut the lawn and told my gunnera how disgusted I am at it's lack of interest to impress. I wagged my finger at it an awl! Under achieving plants, who'd have thunk it!

I find it best to hiss "Compost heap" out of the side of your mouth as you walk past it ... I find if frightens them into action. Sort of like a Naughty Step :)

Planted up the final 3 pots with New Guinea impatiens and marigolds and some really small coleus that haven't grown much in the last month.
Potted up a lemon cucumber and another cucumber I can't remember the name.
Also plated a patriot hosta in to pot.
