It creeps into our garden from next door.
I almost heave when I handle it - the smell is extremely nauseating to me,:eeew:

Ye welcome mate, I didn't want you to regret planting it and then going all medieval on it and stuff. Forewarned is forearmed as they say.

Potted up 20 calendula, 35 cosmos, 3 courgettes and 2 cucumbers. Watered everything and then measured up for the fence I am making to keep the little people out from the bottom of the garden so as they can't hurt themselves.

Over this sunny (unbelievable!!!) weekend, I planted out my leeks, my second squash plant, brussel sprouts, winter cabbage, curly kale, perpetual spinach and chard. Sowed lettuce, radish and spring onions in the tunnel and planted some more sweet peppers in it, weeded the carrots and thinned them and scattered chicken pellets between the rows of spuds ready for their next earthing up later this week.
Painted a shed, pulled out a load of weeds in the flower beds and trimmed the edges of a lawn.
          Phew :coffee:

Very pretty plant that one :)

A good expression, I like that one :) I'm about there myself ...

Planted out pretty much everything for the main garden. Stood out the Cannas for the Exotic Garden and got approval from the Head Gardeners, and I will put out the Nanas and Brugs tomorrow (got some suitable help then, they have become rather man-sized ! and they need a bit of room to swing them into place! but then the Cannas can go in.

That will leave the Dahlias (they look a bit "soft" so giving them another week's hardening off) and a bit-of-bedding in the Exotic - mostly Coleus, but a few impact annuals, and some Ricinus :)

and then I can leave it to Mother Nature with a bit of hose hand-holding help :)

Just brought the most tender annuals in, that are hardening off, as at midnight temperature was 5.8C and had fallen by 1C in the past hour :(

              Forecast Min range is 3C-9C with best-guess prediction of 6C @ 4am ...

Will it smother the weeds though?

Just Googled and realised I've got some of that in my front border. Not too much because it gets zapped with Roundup but it's a stubborn blighter and comes back every year.
