Not a lot today due to the showers that turned into longer period of rain. I went around with some small canes and string again today and gave support to some perennial Poppies that were flopping onto other plants.:dunno::coffee::snork:

Finally got the netting on my brassica bed and pulled the remaining spring cabbages up as I need the space. I'm just feeding my daughter and then I'm going to prepare them and bag up for the freezer.

Had visitors so no work done yesterday. Got more visitors today but want to get out there as soon as the mower won't disturb the neighbours.

This weekends jobs will consist of potting up yet more large planters. Don't mind so much with the new plants cos they're pretty easy. What I don't like is potting on the ones with large heavy rootballs from larger planters into even larger ones  Also need to move some other containers about with my trusty trolley.

I am also going to do some painting (garage/fence) if the weather stays dry long enough and start digging over the north facing border with compost/sharp sand. Once I've done that I can get some plants in there - Camellias, Acers and Rhodos.

Still need to take down the last metal pole from the ex-pergola and the Wisteria with it and transplant a good sized Rhodo from a container into that corner. Another heavy rootball

How about some geum blazing sunset? I bought some a month or so back and they are stunning now.

Dug over and prepared the bed for my peas and beans, and made up a frame to allow me to put strings up for them to scramble up, whilst the outside of the frame holds the netting to keep the nasties off.

Just had a really heavy shower, so that stopped play, and I will be heading to work inside the hour so that is that until tomorrow at best.
