Nah, that is mild! You should see the scene of devastation once I really get cracking! :snork:

Scattered some Aguilegia (thanks Shiney and pamsdish) and some Stocks which really should have been out by May but thought I'd give them a go anyway. Have plenty left for next year when I will get them out earlier.

I spent part of yesterday with more canes and string reining in plants in the borders that were threatening to swamp others. This warm, damp and humid weather seems to have triggered some of the hardy perennials into rampant life!! Having said that I still went out into the the garden today and found space to plant a Dicentra, Kniphofia , Geum and Lupin:dunno::heehee: Having done that I did a check to see all was well down by the pond and in the bottom borders.:coffee:

                  Lovely Loli :dbgrtmb:

I've just potted on a Cytisus Allgold. Wrong time of year I know but fingers crossed it'll be okay.

Sprayed and squished about a zillion ruddy aphids and red spider mites (I think)

Cut the grass (with the spots of rain hitting my neck and threatening me!), filled and planted up the strawberry tree, then I put up my oblong window-box style planter onto the trellis that is at the top of the driveway and planted it up with both upright and trailing nasturtiums, then I lifted the two troughs of nasturtiums up onto the flat roof (note to self, take up in component parts and assemble up there next year!), then put up a second hanging basket bracket so I have a symmetrical appearance to the trellis.

Then I took the fuchsias out of the top basket of one of my pair of double baskets, re-planted it with petunias, and planted up the other double with petunias so that all four have petunias of some variety or other in them; redistributed the fuchsias into three half moon baskets, and filled them up with nicotiana and petunias - still need to find a home for these baskets though.

Then it was into the greenhouse (as rain stopped outdoor play) and got most of the tomatoes into final pots - some of the Marmandes had to share a large pot with another plant, simply because I have ended up with far more than I ever intended to, however I still reckon they will be fine as they have much more compost to play with than they would have in a growbag?

Some unsold Caribbean peppers got similar treatment, and by the time I emptied the third bag of compost of the day, I was able to evict one of the wooden shelves that was taking up a chunk of room, before coming indoors for a bath and a bacardi.

Tomorrow's jobs are to stake the cucumbers, rearrange the greenhouse, pot the final few tomatoes, plant out my hydrangea and delphinium, sow carrots and then see how many pots and flower pouches I can make from the flowers I have left.

I'll get one tomorrow Fern - its blowing a hoolie out there at the moment, and I am loafing about in my PJ's in readiness for a slothful night in front of the telly/laptop.

Mrs C took a picture of it earlier, which is handy - and here it is :)

That's lovely FC. Is there anywhere out of the wind that you can put it tonight to give it some shelter?
