Ah yes, ambition - the starting point for many a balls-up. :snork:

Well, I arrived home from work to be greeted by the sight of one of my double hanging baskets pancaked on the ground - apparently the screws securing it weren't man enough for the job and gave up.

On a brighter note, my new drill and driver bit set arrived (B&D Piranha no less, and it was free to me thanks to a gift voucher), so I pressed it straight to work to re-drill and put the bracket back up with meatier screws and better rawlplugs. Whilst I was at it, I whacked a couple of screws into the gate pillars at the end of the drive (one into each), with a view to hanging a flower pouch on each one to give a floral entrance.

Then it was back up on the ladder to throw a few handfuls of chicken poo into the nasturtium troughs on the roof, and then give then a spray with a wee drop provado as blackfly appeared to have moved in; finally, it was the ritual drowning session which was especially needed after the nice day today.

Nay lass, its a 'school night' - I have to be up with the lark at the moment as I am partly covering for my boss who is incapacitated for a while; have to pretend that I am all responsible, innit? ;)

As long as the good lads and lassies of GC are there to keep me company (and its central heated in the winter, including the greenhouses), then I'll be happy no matter where I end up :)

Ach, at least it would be warm downstairs though? I suppose it depends on whether we are deemed worthy for upstairs or not - by the time we find out, its too late to change anything.

Pruned the Pyracantha at the front of the House and then a Lonicera "Baggins Gold" which had become huge. The prunings filled the Green Waste Bin to the top even after being pressed down..........and I even managed to prune the Pyracantha without getting stabbed by the thorns!!:hapfeet:

Good job Armandi, I come home from work, and I looked out the window with a cup of coffee in my hand and said the front and back lawn needs cutting, and lupins need dead heading things need tidying after the wind battered them. Decided to have tea instead, so I will do it tomorrow. :heehee: Promise..... I will........
