I potted up my tipsy pots then came back indoors and made fresh blueberrie triangle oat scones.

    And it still rains.

They look nice and stumpy Loli. How deep is the root run that you've given them for their final position? There "day of judgement" has come them. They have MY blessing too,

Have done nothing in the garden since Tuesday but did a little wander last night (in the rain) to see what I'd do first tonight and couldn't believe how much things I'd planted only three days ago had grown. I love May even when it rains; do the ground work in March and April and stand back so it doesn't hit you on the head as it grows in May/June. Feels like the garden is beginning to say "Thanks, it's payback time". I think most important job this weekend will be slug patrol.

And of course, second weekend in May is when I usually start planting out the tender stuff which has been hardening off for the last few weeks.

After a 'few' wet days I shall finally get around to mowing. The grass is now into its fastest growing season and it's going to be difficult to catch up. Hopefully I can do it in five hours today.
