Really struggling to get into my garden now - got my nose to the grindstone preparing for the Olympics :wallbanging: - deeply frustrating as I am working at home and looking at everything sprouting through the French doors.

Worse still, I've only got one more day off now until June.

Finaly the T&M plants have arrived begonia crackling fire mixed , so I have planted up the two 16 inch baskets now in the greenhouse.

Fed all the daylily with a seafood tipple , taken side shoots out of the tomotoes found a huge snail in the greenhouse heading towards the cougettes thats been poped over the fence at the bottom of the garden.
Spoken to the planing department about the fence need to update the other thread.

I think thats enough for today

What race are you in? :heehee:

I didn't get all the mowing done as, after two hours of mowing, I got waylaid by a 100ft privet hedge that made me cut it!

Will do more mowing today and check out the hundreds of feet of laurel to see whether all the nests are now empty.

Beautiful sunny day here, so once the mutts are walked, I'm going to dig a new border at the front of the house and plant it up with dwarf Rhodos.

Then I'm going to space out the Elaeagnus in tubs to give them a bit more air flow and spray them with fungicide all around because the pesky leaf spot is still rearing its ugly head.

Cut and edged the grass, popped round next door and cut neighbour's grass as she can't do it herself at the moment, cut the Privet hedge (all 50 yards of it), weeded along the bottom of said hedge and pulled out some of the ivy, fed the chickens......I think that'll do for today. :phew:

Planted out peppers and some more tomatoes in polytunnel.
Took eight tom plants around to daughter and son in law.
Mowed one lawn and edged it.
Sprayed glyphosate on brambles and on weeds behind shed.
Sprinkled some blood, fish and bone fertiliser on the trench where I'll sow my third lot of peas.
Picked first asparagus of the season and had it at tea time.
Picked rubarb and stewed it with stawberries and pear we'd dried last year. (Just tried a spoonful and it's gorgeous!!)

Strimmed the bank at the back of my garden so I can see the dry stone wall that's holding it back, well was holding it back. Hope to make a start on re-building it this coming week. Mowed the back lawn, then replaced a stake on a young tree that's been in four years, in fact the stake had rotted through and the tree was holding it up. :)

Today's jobs consist of digging another small border (not sure what's gonna go in there yet), mowing lawns, feeding some plants and then watering stuff with the watering can.
