First off I am not that good a gardener, and hardly get anything off my own little patch
Second, by the time one becomes available I will be planted in the ground myself :-)

        1) planting up a square planter (in the shade by afternoon) with Fuchsia 2 x "Orange Crush and a Harry Gray. Might add a few lower bits in the front if there is room.
        2) Making a bamboo cane trellis (like Bilbo's) for a largish pot of Sweet pea Sativus Azureus.
        3) Finding space to squeeze in 2 "Tumbling Toms" tomatoes in the window box.

Can't wait any longer for the weather to decide what it's going to do so here goes....
Plant up 50 odd containers and baskets....plant up my 'Buzzy border'....re-plant a few Buxus where the dogs and chooks have marmalised it....paint garden chair and bench, sow some more lettuce and sp.onions....plant up chard....prick out zinnias, make a polythene 'tent' in the GH for my cues....make frame for runner beans, check my little veg patch....stare at my toms for a bit.....general tidy round....have a couple of whiskeys and a curry........then it'll be time for bed:lunapic 130165696578242 5:...good night:dbgrtmb:

Blimey lolimac, I'm feeling tired just reading that :snooze:

It's overcast but no rain for a few hours, so I've edged the front lawn, swept the drive and shoved the gubbins from the drive (leaves, twigs, flowers, etc) in the compost bin along with some cardboard and given it all a good rummage.

Tomorrow's jobs will include mowing the lawns (provided it stays dry) and deadheading the lilac and azaleas.

Just come in from the garden, been moving stuff out of the greenhouse to harden off, tying on some more support strings for the Broad Beans (they're romping away this year with all the rain), and sowed a few Pumpkins and Cucumbers in pots.
It was sheer bliss......a quiet, calm spring evening, the garden bursting with colour and nothing but the lovely sound of birdsong.
Well, nothing that is apart from the barbecue/party a couple of doors away, currently playing 'Abba's greatest Hits' for the third time, and the distant roar of the Saturday night stock car meeting a mile or so down the road.

Had to laugh this morning. Had trowel deep in planter levering underneath to gently eeeease up this tulip -mind the bulb -don't damage - slowly now. Whoooosh!! Suddenly overdid the leverage - an enormous spray of dark potting compost in my face and all in my blond locks. I didn't feel much like a gardening Diva either!!

                      Jenny :loll:

I've done most of what I was going to, plus watered what feels like a gazillion plants with watering cans. I'll have arms like a navvy at this rate.
