What jobs are we doing today in the garden ?

Good morning jack,
we haven't had a Jack rant for aaaaages. Having withdrawal symptoms,
pleeeease,

 

Planted out all the bedding and done a few pots. Too hot so I thought I would do it tomorrow. Going for a shower and a few pints down the pub now

 

I watered the plants in the border, but then by the time i had got to end of the boarder the ones at the start of the boarder had dried out. So i have spent the entire day constantly watering the boarders. Came in for a quick break off out again to start watering

 

Planted up 3 retangular terracotta planters and a very interesting little discovery ( in a glazed blue pot) namely "Laurentia - Blue Star". Just one plant, it is an annual and given the right requirements, grows into a fluffy soft leaved shrub - about 12" h x12"w. T & M seeds has a good picture of it on Google. Will water up new planteds later, when the sun has left them and it is cooler.

I've been up from early ...

have been brewing 25 litres of compost tea since friday afternoon, so watered all the plants at the pub with it ... was there at 05h00

nice day this morning ... loads of people walking their dogs early this morning ...

 

Got a wall basket and a square planter to do - all in red,white and blue today

I haven't done nearly as much as I wanted to this weekend for various reasons. Last job for the weekend is to water all the plants including the front lawn. Will leave it a couple of hours though until it's cooler.

 

Planned to pot up my seedling's but never happened, set up the water slide for the thugs, good job we had an electric pump :WINK1: is all I can say, hung around to watch the girls made sure they were aware of what to do and what not to do, did the factor 50 sun block run , however every time I went out of sight, the girls thought they would try some new move decided I did not want to be stopping and starting every 5 minutes so put on my sun block, grabbed a coffee and sat watching them, so nothing much done today other than constant sun block application, oh and yes I burnt, too busy smothering the thugs I forgot about me having top up's

 

I haven't done much either. rather pleasant sensation - no sweat running down my nose. I had intended to plant up a red white and blue wall planter and a large square oen in the communial garden but it can wait til tomorrow.
Did do one thing:
mini GH emptied and put in the back of the garage - on summer hols. It's looked after many bits and pieces over that awful Winter and Spring that I would otherwise have lost. More room for the rest of the gang on the patio. Still lots of planting out to do. Just relaxing in this amazing weather - a proper Sunday
