Went around doing the weekly feed for the pots, roses and clematis, which alternates between Miracle Grow and Tomato Feed. Tied in the climbing roses by the pond and took out more early annuals in the borders that have finished. Tied in the Clematis and Sweetpeas on the Trellis Entrance. Marked up a few jobs to do generally, still more early annuals to take out........and then a mug of tea and a sit by the pond.:snork:

Well been busy as a busy bee since getting in from work.
Cleaned pond filter out, fed all toms and cucumber and strawberries in the greenhouse.
Then of round to the grandmother In laws to sort out her front garden.
Filled a wheelie bin with weeds and hedge trimmings. Hope to finish it off tomorrow before footy starts!
You can see all the roses now! :snork:

Not exactly gardening, but I went shopping for a garden wall today. Took a trip to the local builders centre to search out and price up blocks. :)

                Hi All
Just finished tieing all the tomatoes up plus taking a couple of sideshoots out , not looking too bad a bit tall but producing flowers, cougettes looking more happy in very large tubs , goosberry getting bigger but a family of teenager blackbirds have pulled some off the beries off !! potted up a cutting of heuchera, potted on some of the agapanthus seedlings. Cut the lawns trimded the edges oh and yes a can of cider to finish, top dressed the half oak barrel in the front garden ready to put beeding plants in .

So best evening we have had for ages

I think I will put the hanging basket out at the weekend fed up of taking in and out of greenhouse , never grown before hanging begonias (crackling fire) so dont know to pinch out or not ?? what you done Harry ??

Spruce , all Spruced out !!

                  Spruce,
Hasn't it just been one humdinger of a little day . Whoop whoop whoop :dancy:
I had one plant of Crackling Fire last year in a pot. Never touched it, well just to deadhead . It was stunning - a very good all round value for money plant,

OH and I have done a power of work in the garden today. (we both have health problems so this has been quite an achievement). Filled 6 hanging baskets, 5 plastic hanging tubs to go against the shed. Found a bargain at B & Q - a verbascum Pink Kisses for £4. When we planted it though the shoot broke off when we turned it out of the pot so I peeled the bottom leaves off and stuck it in beside the main plant. Do you think the verbascum will come on even as we broke the shoot off. The root system seemed very good.

Went to Dobbies yesterday and got great bargains - trays of 6 violas at £1 each, trays of 20 trailing lobelia for £3 and 6 surfina petunias reduced from £8.50 to £5.:dancy:

Wow, very industrious!!! I, on the other hand, thought I should do something about weatherproofing the garden furniture but actually did nothing but sit in the sun :)

Put the tall niger seed feeder out to soak in an old gardening washing up bowl last night.
I stood by the chest high gardenwall ,in the sun this morning and scrubbed each piece out thoroughly with an old toothbrush and left all the components out to dry off in the sun. The perfume from the lupins the other side of the wall stopped me from rushing to finish this task. So delightful in the early morning sun......
Just going off to reassemble, fill with more seed and hang it back up in the cherry tree. The goldfinches and their families will all be back on it like wasps in about half and hour!!
