Dared to plant some peas out. Don't hold out much hope of them still being there in the morning though.

It's so frustrating Ziggy, is it really worth continuing this year? My plants are still slow to flower and the toms in the greenhouse are going to struggle to ripen I think.

The pouches on the fence are facing south, although that is only a temporary home for them - once they are looking a bit more like a display of flowers, they are going to go on the front of the house (east facing) with a couple of other ones going up the side of the driveway (south facing).

Oh, and the pathclear has been applied - I am watching it slowly take effect now :)

We're chuffed with them - we need to get the contractor back as two of the posts are flapping about a bit, so obviously not concreted in enough, but other than that its made a remarkable difference.

I mowed my back lawn today.......in drizzle. A job that normally takes 40 mins. took me two hours. I had to abandon the mower box as the mower kept clogging up, so raked the lawn after and then finished with mower and box. By the time I'd cleaned up the mower I was just as green as the lawn.

Been raining all day here so no gardening as such. Picked some mangetout, sugar snap peas, courgettes and cabbage to put into stirfry for dinner if that counts as a job.

Didn't get time for much gardening last weekend, so trying to get jobs done in the evenings after work.
Picked the last of my autumn sown Broad Beans last night, intending to pull them up as I need the space to sow some of my winter brassicas.
Pulled out one row yesterday evening before it started raining.
Pulled out the remaining row this evening, cleared the ground, it started raining.
I will get those brassica seeds in.....eventually. :wallbanging:

Well, I watered everything in the poly, and then my baskets hanging at the top of the driveway (despite it raining); My troughs are devastated again with the rain - they had only just started to recover and dry out a bit from the last rain (they were literally swimming)

Just planted out a five foot tall bean that I grew on the windowsill. Carefully wrapped it round the bean pole & smeared the pole & stem with vaseline.

Slugs have had the growing points off all the Bridgwater Beans that A-a sent me:sad:
