I'll mow the front lawns this morning and wipe the surplus oil from the garden tables that I oiled at the weekend.

Thanks Shiney:snork: Well, I took that walk around the garden today and got a good idea of what needs tidying. pruning, dead heading, and pulling out. However, since it has been drizzling all morning without stop from breakfast I'll have to settle with feeding the Tomatoes, Cannas and Bananas in the Green House and then the Shrub and Climbing Roses and Cannas in the borders, by the Arbour and by the pond. I reckon I'm going to have to wear some waterproof trousers to walk along the paths as you all know how my paths tend to disappear when the borders are in full growth.:snork:

The drainage in the garden needs sorting but thats a long term job. Otherwise nothing today, just admiring what there is to admire I suppose!

Good God Nick! You need to take better care of yourself mate. I have osteoarthritis, so know exactly where you are right now, and its not fun (thankfully, its been a few months since I had a bad time with it).

I trust that your GP has left you with some fairly hefty pain relief and anti-inflammatories?

As FC says you really must take more care of yourself Nick. Slow down a bit, there's always tomorrow to do 'stuff'.

Hope you feel better soon. :)

My deepest sympathy on your ordeal Nick :grphg: ,I suffer with back pain and can only manage 1 job per day, or spend 2/3 hours with wheat bag on my back, and if I don`t stop soon enough ,and go into spasm ,24 hours of agony,at least.
The problem is knowing when to stop as you have to allow clean up time as well, and what was an easy job last year ,has turned into a nightmare, i know you look at a job and think it will only take a few minutes, but, we all start a job spot something else and end up on a marathon, and its standing that does me in,

It's like watching a kid on a tightrope walk for the first time. When I start to read one of your escapades, I'm almost dreading what's coming next Nick.

Couldn't imagine this forum without you and you are too far away for me to do a regular visit to your local A and E hospital.

Well, I was going to cut the grass (its starting to look like a field!), but as I was standing at my daughters school waiting for her to come out, a huge rain cloud blew over and it is now persisting down. More rain forecast tomorrow, Friday and Saturday, so maybe next week? :dunno:

Time for a nice cuppa I think. :coffee:

The last three days here have been wall to wall sunshine. Just thought I'd boast a bit.

Mowed my front lawn today, potted on a few seedlings and watered pots and baskets.

I think Pamdish has said it all, Nick!!!:snork: Just take things a bit at a time and you'll get it all done without doing yourself a mischief!:gaah:

I took advantage of the Sun coming out and mowed my front lawn, my neighbours front lawn, and my rear lawn. I tidied up and tied up the Roses and Honeysuckle on the Arbour, the climbing Roses by the pond, did some dead heading, trimmed the Ivy growing on the front of the house. Then I cleaned out the car which after the fishing holiday was reeking of fish and wet nets!!!:heehee:
