What jobs have you NOT done in the garden today

I didn't find the Khol Rabi seeds i was going to sow yesterday.....Where are they Zig....

 

I'm not organised, I wasn't boasting, I'm not superhuman and I didn't forget!

If I'd been organised I'd have cut the lawn before I went out (which is of course, what I should have done)
The bread was a necessity - my lack of organisation meant, in doing other things, I didn't have time to make it the day before and I'd run out.
Tramping across ankle high grass would have been enough of a reminder, should one be necessary, that it needed cutting.
And as for 'marks out of ten' - well true, my promotion may not depend on it, but I do have a neighbour who has 'an opinion' on everything, but I've not seen him since the new planter was installed so I've yet to get a score for that one

 

Yet another rained off day, so yet another sculpture started.

 

It's too windy to do the repotting that is in need of doing as I have only the patio with no shelter. However, my foot is healing well and next Tuesday, I am sure the pin will be removed and the dreadful "boot". And, I shall be able to start learning to walk again. Yippeeee!
So, I am sat in the sun behind glass listening to the wind which gusts mightily from time to time. Also watching collared doves in the little holly tree (above the peirus). She is on the nest that they built- rockin' and rollin' a bit today!! It's just 12 feet from my window seat so I have binoculars to view the comings and goings of the partner. Do they share the job of egg sitting or is it all down to her? Would love to know please. Quite a sweet little song - their cooing. So much easier on the ear than that of the wood pidgeons nesting in ivy out the front. And that baby - Ugly or what!!

• Can't cut the lawns too wet
• Borders too wet to plant
• T&M plants arrived Begonia's half dead !! so cant plant up the baskets (oh yes I have emailed them) this has happened so many times , too many in fact over the years !!! and them arriving to late
• Its too cold outside so I aint going
• Poor bees having a bad time as well

IT'S A BUMMER AIN'T IT. I can only suggest we all open a bottle and have a race to see who can get to the bottom first. I watched a litle bee trying its hardest to stay on a little forget me not flower. I felt for him - it looked like damned hard work - poor little chap. Please send my sympathetic best wishes for a bit of sun and warmth soon to your bees Spruce

Its all little girl bees at the moment, boys will be out soon I know typical the woman do all the work its the same with bees drones have a relaxing summer before being kicked out before the winter sets in

Funny enough a I did see the Queen today visiting Wales me and the girls in the office poped out had a cracker view since ony 4 of us standing on the side of the road and no one else, I had 3 small Welsh flags that I made them wave it worked she and Phillip waved back

it was a new variety called Crackling fire, the ones Harry bought and he has had the problems with !! got a bit fed up with Petunias, I do grow all the rest of the bedding though, I appreaciate "you'd do a better job" very kind of you, you can have a treat for that .
