A couple of goods mentioned so far. American Werewolf in London is a cracker, as is Zulu.

I'm not much of a film fan, a film has to be exceptional for me to like it, but a few good ones include:

For a Few Dollars More, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and Two Mules for Sister Sarah - all good old Mr Eastwood.

I loved House of Flying Daggers. And of course the Austin Powers films are crackers.

Hear No Evil See No Evil, brilliant comedy with a disability message.

Life of Brian, a classic send up of Beaurocracy, unions and Blind Following.

Salvador, harrowing and disturbing, an Oliver Stone masterpiece.

    for starters.:)

I agree with those who said An American Werewolf in London, perfect film some outstanding moments of horror mixed with beautifully written comedy, I absolutely love it! However, I'd replace Jenny Agguter with a young David Naughton :luv:

I must have seen The Whicker Man about 400 times, the original that is. Got about a quarter of the way thru the remake before binning it.

The Day After Tommorow. Disturbing because the last glaciation probably started in a very short time, probably not as quick as in the film though.

The Transporter trilogy - Good action fantasy.

Water - A Michael Caine comedy.

White Noise - Made the mistake of watching that alone whilst spending the night on a building site.

The Stand - Steven King end of the world thinger. At a run time of 359 minutes, not something i'd recommend unless I thought it was worth a watch. The book is nearly 3" thick & they've done a very good job of turning into a film. Even the characters are like you pictured them.

Love Actually - Well, that justs makes me cry:D
