What mower should we buy for our large lawn?

    sadly, it's not all about horsepower ... many lawnmowers use the very same engines such as Briggs & Stratton, or kawasaki or Honda etc

    but some cannot collect the grass clippings as good as others ... the Etesia (in my opinion) is one of the better, as you can mow in pouring rain

    one downside is that it does not have a roller, so does not do stripes (if that is what you are after)

    I have another spare mower (mountfield) which I bought for very cheap off gumtree .... very good engine (briggs) but it struggles in damp conditions with the grass catcher box connected

    yes etesia and john deere is what we use at work and both are decent mowers but they do carry a high price new and just your luck finding used. noticed on gumtree (glasgow) a guy selling 2 etesia pro a few weeks ago £150 each

    there are no reviews for these mowers so cant say if they collect wet grass or not but as an overall package it looks good compared to other makes/models around this price range
