I'm with you, Shiney! As far as I'm concerned mobiles are for personal / emergency use only. If someone needs to contact me, call me at home and I may or may not answer the phone - certainly not if I'm in the garden, having dinner or entertaining guests ... if it's an emergency, the person will ring back. PT has a system of telling you, by dialling *200 or looking on your window phone who has called you anyway, so you can ring back it you so desire. That's assuming they haven't left a message on your free voicemail service! [IMG]

PS I exclude those of you who have to use a mobile for your business. :D

Of course, LOL, I turn it on when I go shopping so Mrs shiney can add things to the shopping list and I switch it on when I go to meetings so I can annoy the others round the table with its loud RING, RING.

    Hi again LOL
What part of Portugal are you in? Mrs shiney and I had our honeymoon in Portugal - in Sesimbra. That was in the days when they didn't have the bridge over the Tagus and the car ferry used to be a slow journey. Sesimbra was a sleepy fishing village then.

Morning, Shiney! We're in the sunny south in Algarve. We don't venture further up above Alentejo much, however, we will be staying in Guarda (very north) to and fro on our journey to the UK in October. It's very sleepy where we are here just below the Monchique foothills. [IMG]

I bet you love it there!

I only like hot places when I've got something to see. I travel to a lot of out of the way places for that and don't mind how hot it gets. When I'm at home I try to stay out of the sun.

When you live in a hot country, you don't tend to be "out in the sun" much. Obviously, there are the necessities to do like gardening but that's often done early or late in the day. I lived in Alabama for 14 years and it could get hotter there than here, believe me! :( The real benefit is in the winter! :D

A very loud BING BONG BING BONG BING BONG....
If I have a 'tune' I never hear it and have been known to look around for buskers or street musicians when my phone is ringing!
