What to do next?

Nothing to be embaraced about there chimneyrose you have a lovely Garden
i was going to suggest the same i would paint that wall cream with masenery paint sorry about spelling out door paint and wot a difarance that would make
you would be over joyed @ your progress then i would get a cheep roller n paint tray and be on that the next sunny day we get get a little paint brush for the little one to help and make it an enjoy a bull experance with the baby i found my kid loved painting anthing and when you can say to the little one you helped mommy do that the kids all ways like there achevments too job done :WINK1:

 

got quite a bit done today in front garden and back lawn mowed and 3/4 edged

 

One of my Mum's school friends died after getting a thorn stuck in their knee... luckily kids have tetanus jabs quite early on now.

 

been clearing the back of the garden. found a bird feeder pole amist the hydranger/ honeysuckle

 

been a rubbish week - havent been able to do any gardening. really heavy rain here and a poorley toddler:(
have managed to find some cream masonary paint and shed paint from wilkinsons.

also fpund some other bits which i will get on weekend:
lilac plastic dustbins
arch
mini mason bee house
bee attrct seed
a bbq
mini greenhouse
also need somw plant food and someof wilkos 99p compost

 

weather not too bad this avo. cut parents front hedge - toddler much brighter so looking forward to a gardening weekend
trying to id some plants too so will try and get photos later

 

How are you going to work those large Buxus plants into your plant chimney ?

the box were put in to split the big border into colour blocks. the nearest in the photos is cream / white then orange/ peach then red then blue / purple then yellows then pinks

can anyone help id theese plants for me please? i think one is a peony and one i know has yellow flowers with fluufy stamensthat i only know as a jerusalem flower?

 

I think the last one is a Pieris.

It's difficult as the pictures are not good. But guessing the following:

1. Honeysuckle?
2. Paeony
3. Geranium?
4. Pieris

Second is the peony, last is a pieris (forest flame), three may be an astilbe but I don't grow them so not sure.
I've been interested in the roses/thorns discussion - there are beautiful thornless roses, why not go for those and keep everyone happy? There are loads on David Austin's website.

 

Well awful winds here so the garden in a mess again. thank goodness so far no damage to properties at the mo. Got a tooth op tomorrow so wont be doing much this week.

wilkos 98p compost x6

all i need is a mason bee / solitary bee and ladybird house now

I am going to do what sheal suggested and clear my borders just for roses so i need to pot up all my other plants and then i can slot them in to the displays in their pots like carol klein does at glebe cottage.
