      You're welcome - I found (for some unknown reason) that the Sainsbury's citrus thick bleach was the best - the Tesco version wasn't as good.

      Here is a photo showing the difference when I was part way through

        starting to feel the pressure now :( i am having a jubilee barbecue and garden party to raise money for charity Homestart so i have just got to get the tidying up done at least by then. i have made very little progress the last fortnight :/

        met office say weather not to bad tomorrow thu and fri so will have to see what i can get done :)

          so delighted! nearly finished my wildlife grotto for my daughter :) only took a few hours this a. just a huge bagging up job to do

            well been a beautiful day today! with hubbys help the first stage cutting down and bagging up is finally finished. we are delighted. heavy rain forcast so so grateful for the help today.

            Got out tonite and managed to clip 3 of the 6 box hedges. Taking one out to try topiary as they arnt growing as well as the others.

                Seriously does glyphosate kill brambles? Is it ok to use with a toddler cats and a tortoise around? I would think no :(

                  Glyphosate is claimed to be harmless to animal life (which includes us human sorts) except aquatic life. That said, I would keep the kids and pets out the way while you're doing it, and for a few hours after, just as a precaution.

                  At my last house, I literally blitzed my whole garden repeatedly with Roundup, over the course of a few months, as I waged war on bindweed. Steven the Hedgehog didn't seem to mind. Throughout the whole war, he continued to come and have a drink with us on a warm evening. For real, wife and I would have beer or wine, we'd hear some rustling so I'd go and get a saucer of water and he'd come and drink it.
