mmmmm [IMG] Shame about the pot thing Geoff. The soil is really bad down there, not sure I have the energy or the time to enrich it enough
Wish I lived closer to you, I could swoop down on your stall and grab myself some bargains!! :D
That PlantWorldSeeds link is a good one, mentally spent a fortune on there

Yes I know what you mean about Plantworlds. At least with selling off surplus things I can then buy seed with a clear conscience - I am investing. Unfortunately my outgoings exceed my incomings at present.
Would the pot be on the surface or sunk into the ground?
I am wondering whether you could insert some bottomless container into the ground. I have 2 long cypress hedges ( gnash teeth!!!) and on one side I sank paving slabs to keep back the roots. It was the only way I could think of keeping the roots away from my beloved Himalayan poppies - they are heavy feeders amd must not dry out. The occasional root gets through but my poppies now grow closer to the hedge than before.
.....if only I had access to a JCB. Now that would be the ultimate hedge cutting accessory!

I haven't started building the seating area yet so I could easily incorporate a sunken container at this stage. Perhaps that's the way to go???? [IMG] mmmmm, eye candy garden helper's going to love me!! The grounds like concrete down there  :D
