what Tree

Coppice means cutting a tree down to a low stool just a foot or two high. Pollarding means cutting a tree down to head height ( remember pollarding by remembering the poll tax. The word "poll" means "head")

 

My suggestion would be Gingko Biloba, a very unusual plant. David.

 

Gets a bit big, though, Dai..... but certainly a lovely tree (assuming you don't get a female with that stinking fruit :rolleyes: )
