    Musa Monkey, I see you did take my advice and read the post again.

    You initially said

    To most folk (including me) that says how to position the pump, which as I then pointed out, is NOT the question. I then went on to say

    You then seem to have re-read the post when you then said;

    But the bold part of your new answer is now the "problem"

    If you read the whole post again, I pointed out some time ago that using a pump to "suck" is very inefficient and not worth it. Also anyone can say (As you did, in not so many words) "If the equipment you have is up to the task it will work"

    What Kristen wants, is a way to solve his problem, he wants a specific pump, saying "If its up to the job" is of no use what so ever. But thanks for trying.

    Not that i want to get off the point for the OP but All centrifugal pumps work by flooded suction. i.e. They suck fluid into the impellar chamber. They fluid is then moved further via the energy imparted by impellar. If that's inefficient then all centrifugal pumps are inefficient because thats how they work.

    If the volume of the system is known its very easy to specify a pump so if the OP would like that assistance as a rotating equipment engineer in the oil & gas industry for over 33 years i would be happy to help via a pm from the OP.

    I will not respond here again as you are clearly missing the point and seem to have nothing better to do than criticise others who are genuinelly trying to help the OP.

    Thanks. I did tell you that we can keep going round in circles but you choose to ignore that fact.

    It is YOU who are missing the point, not I.

    All Kristen wanted to know is can he put a pump at "The wrong end" and if so, which one.

    In short, you then went on to explain where to put a pump, then how pumps work, although it is true, it is of no use to Kristen at this time, as he still only wants to know what pump to use. All I have said and Kristen now understands, is that to put a pump at the wrong end will be very inefficient as it will be used to "suck"

    I do not dispute you were genuinely trying to help, but everything you have said so far was of no use in answering the question.

    I welcome other points of view, and different opinions, but only if they are of use to the question.

    However I for one would like to take up your offer
