The 1st car I drove was a ford anglia, which my ex husband gave me driving lessons in down some private lanes. Sometimes it was going dusk and I had to avoid all the bunny rabbits running around. I was scared to death I might run one over. 02

Learnt to drive in 1975 and my first car was a Ford Anglia, purchased for £25. It was a C reg. (as in the old C reg.):):) still remember the registration plate as well.

She was a rust bucket. the water used to drip down the steering column and in winter I used to have to crack the ice in the footwell before I could drive her otherwise it was too slippery for me to put my feet down.
She used to start first go every time and I used to love making her squeal as I took the bends as speed.:D:D
sold her for a 100% profit at £50 and i still wish I had kept her.

The one after her for a Vauxhall Viva, a brute of a car, cost me more then I paid for her and seh was always breaking down, I did not miss her when she went....

My first car was my stepfather´s Fiat Bravo, cherry red. Took me all of seven months to crash it, after wich I bought my own Nissan Micra. Still have her, after 8 years. I call her Sussi.

Can't post a photo of my first car as photography hadn't been invented then!

Seriously though, it was a Morris series D made in 1939 which I paid £20 for in 1959. That was more than a week's salary for me then. So much play in the steering I had to give it a few minutes notice before turning a corner. That was pre MOT days I might add.

    I had a Zephyr Mk3 followed by a Zephyr Mk4 V6, lovely car, first time I went over 100MPH.

We used to joke that it had a helicopter landing pad in front of the widscreen, or if seeing one for sale. -- needs good home - near petrol pump!!

There's an estate one recently been restored near here, looks nice now he's given it a final coat.
