Does it need to be very long and once done does it change or is it fixed?

I'd think about keeping a summary of your background; ongoing interest in Art, your degree in design (it shows you have more than one string to your bow and could even lead to a commission), the facebook challenge and, as many businesses now sponsor a particular charity, why not say that your shop has a special interest in ME and that from time to time you will be raising awareness and perhaps doing something financial.

If it were me I'd keep away from terms like "sickie", it's personal and whilst I appreciate that you can embrace it, how would you feel if somebody you didn't know used the term and what about others who share your illness but are less comfortable with labelling? I think to say you have a special interest in it allows people to share that with you if they wish but ultimately it is customers not more friends you are looking for.

Good luck. I love your garden crochet.

      Thank you @westwales

Don't worry i would never use the term sickie on there i only ever use it in conversation and I would never use it professionally on social media or in the shop that would not be inappropriate.

Or do you mean using it in general anyway? in general i have no problems with someone i didnt know using the term and i use sickie instead of spoonie because i feel like a weirdo saying spoonie to be honest and most people wont get it.

it can be as long as i want and it isnt fixed i am able to change it any time but it is a section they recommend you do fill out.

In that case why not have a permanent paragraph about your background and what brought you to this venture and a section which you update (maybe a simple Did you know? question or something about funding) about the ME? Could be a strapline maybe.

          Ethos.

What inspires you. You're favourite subjects to paint and how they are linked with your work. Example for me is nature. Wood is a natural product and I created a rule to never cut a tree for the sake of my work, only to create work from other peoples cutting, offcuts and junk. It gives me a "greener edge" to promote myself and work while I respect trees are beautiful, spiritual things at the same time.

You could say something like "I admire the beauty of plant life and decided to capture this in my work"

                Oooooohhhh heres a question tho

Should it be written in the first person or third person?

Third person can look more professional but as its blantently obvious i will be running my shop could look very protentous

Then first person may look less proffessional but more friendly and down to earth and a bit warmer and less cold

This is where talking about the work rather than the person makes it easier. I'd say first person is fine in this situation, often more friendly and personal especially for web based info. If you do anything to go out in hard copy (leaflets, brochures etc) third person. Anything sent to an individual (personal response, note accompanying purchase etc) back to first person. BUT hey, that's just my opinion and I'm not a salesperson.

Yes, rosebay, acrylic because I like the texture and lumination I can achieve.

How very kind of you, Val. :imphrt:

Don't do it in third person. I don't get why people do that. People go to places like etsy to buy direct from the artist or craftsman
