My "Ghost Bleeding Heart" - Lamprocapnos spectabilis 'Alba' - a very special plant which holds a special place in my own heart



The first of the hardy geraniums to flower (this plant, or rather, bits of it, has travelled around 3 of my homes)



The full version of my Choisya "Aztec Pearl" (its huge!) in full flower - to the left of this is my arbour and the scent is intoxicating! You might just make out the solitary hardy geranium flower which I posted above, sitting beneath the choisya



And a couple of close ups of the blooms on that shrub (you may notice the clematis buds weaving through it in the first picture)

Alchemilla Mollis just coming back after a winter retreat.



And an ivy (again sharing its third home with me) just beginning to get settled in



The clematis "Mrs Bateman", which I bought a couple of weeks ago, is now showing signs of life (please ignore *that* ivy, it's an interloper from the neighbour and I have been "treating" it ) Not a brilliant picture but enough so that I can look back on it and see its development.

 

And still going strong ...

Polyanthus - I'm so delighted ... the pink one has come back (after a major slug attack!)



The ornamental quince (chaenomeles) is still putting on a show



And lastly, my little trough of wild garlic is now in flower

 

One of my favourites too. Also a favourite of slugs

 

Oh the slugs are too busy with my lolimac hostas at the moment

 

That's the main course here and they're well into that now!

 

To me they just look unwell. But who am I to judge, I hate forget-me-nots
