          I didn't hear any Woodpeckers at all, strangely, as the woods here are perfect for them.
          The only other new arrival (no pic) was a Tree Pipit.
          The other side of the road is Bovington Army Camp and the sound of small arms fire and Tank movement all the time doesn't make it exactly a tranquil retreat!!!

            Got plenty of bats, barn owls, tawny owls and police helicopters that are flying aound.
            Shame these night shifts are getting repetetative for me.:whistle:

                  I must admit over the last few days when sitting in the Arbour with the usual mug of tea the Bird Song has been absolutely fantastic. There are several Black Birds singing their hearts out all the time, the Tits chattering away and the Robin doing his best of outdo them. It's probably been the best year for bird song for several years:hapydancsmil:

                    Woo can I be nosey and ask what the net is that the bee has landed on? I was looking at it thinking it was a net full of peanuts for the birds but I'm probably wrong! I think you should enter that photo in one of the competitions - you might just win! :yay:
