            Hi Jenny, I Wondered wher you went, I'm sure yo will have some great pics to show us.

            It's a Zenaida Dove, I think it is quite attractive.

              Armandii, the Panasonic fz150 has a 24x fixed lens but it has the option of an Extra Optical Zoom. By opting to decrease the megapixels to 8 increases the zoom to 29x and down to 5 mp increases to 37x. These two were taken at 37x and unless enlarging, the low mp rate doesn't really show. Most of the bird pics I've taken are at 29x.

                many thanks for that ID. I have 11 piccies of much less compliant birds, hastily taken with no photographic skill whatsoever. But, here they are, piled up in a dogsbreakfast fashion.
                Any help you can give would be gratefully received,

                I can see them now but the only one I can positively ID is the St Lucia Black Finch (so far).:smile:

                  I found this Little Egret resting in the middle of a recreation ground with Gulls and Oystercatchers. They seem to be everywhere.:smile:
