                      Thrush - Thrushes don't usually stay with us long because the numerous blackbirds chase them away mercilessly on sight. But this one has managed to hang around so far.

                        Went out for a walk yesterday and saw this bullfinch. We spent at least 5 mins watching it feeding on flower buds, I can see why some gardeners and farmers don't welcome it ;). But it is such a beautiful bird.

                            Yes its a beautiful bird

                            I think things are changing with most farmers, most now do a lot of work to help all kinds of wildlife especially the ones i visit round Nottingham, one of the farmers kills part of his crop for skylarks leaves one field to grow wild even some of the field is occasionally sown with butterfly and bees mixtures of plants, along with bird feeders regularly topped up nest boxes etc etc,

                            Its amazing to see what there are doing :love30:, i believe they get subsidised for it but its still great work :).
