No Bantams near here but we do have some hens,ducks and a few other birds i wouldn't be able to name, looks like the egg has hacthed

 

They take them some distance from the nest so as not to give the location away

 

Jiffy one was found in our garden in late february

Yes, but who? The hens were eyeing up worms; the cat was eyeing up the hens and Ozzy was eyeing up the cat! I suppose that is the true definition of a "food chain". Bad enough that when I went back indoors #2 son asked: "What's for dinner?"
