    I checked earlier. It had moved a little bit, so I took it off the tissue and put on the table to keep it safe while it recovers - I hope.

          The bee had gone half hour after I put it on the table. It was crawling slowly but must have been able to fly. I searched the patio around the table but didn't see it.

                Sort of "flying" - a greater water boatman, I think now called "backswimmers", because of the confusion caused by the Americans....

                I've never seen one before, and was seriously "wowed" when I spotted it in the shallows of the pond yesterday evening!!

                  ....been up again this morning, and managed to get a photo.

                  At least now I know why all the tiddler goldfish were swimming in the deep water, rather than the shallows!

                              Back to Holton Lee early this morning to see the Owl which didn't show itself but strangely I saw four 'green' birds in an hour.
