The easiest way to clean pots and bird feeders is to shove `em in the dishwasher :hapydancsmil:

Unfortunately a 3'6" bird feeder doesn't fit in our dishwasher. :hate-shocked: :snorky:

@silu Average Buzzard life span is between 8-12 years, captive ones a lot longer. The original ones may have died naturally even possibly shot or poisoned (there is a high raptor persecution rate in Scotland particularly on and around Grouse moors:frown:) or could have just moved away.
There is every likelihood a new pair could move in. Unfortunatey young Buzzard survival rate is low mainly due to starvation.:frown:

Many thanks @strongylodon . We don't live near the Grouse moors more pheasant shoots around these parts but the local farmers are quite keen on shooting lots of wildlife:mute:. Hopefully we have resident Buzzards again as I love watching them riding the thermals during the summer and as far as we are concerned they cause no trouble at all apart from getting a bit cross if we go too close to their nest when poo picking in the field adjacent to the wood.

Squirrel is trying to work out whether he can jump onto the bird feeder. He eventually gave up.

@Tetters the bird feeder doesn't fit into the dishwasher :heehee:

Two long staying visitors, The 'White' Ruff, which should really be wintering in West Africa and the Lesser Yellowlegs which was blown over from North America in September storms, they seem to like each other's company as they are often together.

@Sheal, although we generally refer to them as Bearded Tits, they are not related to the tit family or any other family and are also refered to as Reedlings.

They are resident, mainly in the South and East, although the largest population is reportedly along the River Tay in Perth and Kinross.

As you have may have noticed the males have a moustache not a beard!!
