Back to square one.... I've shut my feeding station down again today as a second Yellowhammer (male) is sick with the virus. I really don't think there is anything else I can do. I don't even know if this has to be reported so any advice would be helpful please.

 

@Sheal there really is not much else you can do, the BTO (British Trust for Ornithology) has a page about it with a link at the bottom for reporting the disease.
The Peregrine was about 30 ft away and is used to people walking along the path above it's several perches and poses readily!

@shiney It may be used just for roosting in through the Winter but usually they roost singly.

 

@hydrogardener, here is one of your strays, blown off course on it's way to South America.
Wilson's Phalarope, it has spent the last 10 days in a lagoon on the Hampshire coast and is ridiculously confiding coming within a few feet of observers. I only got to see it today.
A youngster in winter plumage but still very smart.
