A female Tawny Owl close to my garden has been calling for the last four evenings.

Peculiar situation here. I normally have to fill the bird feeders two to three times a week. I filled them a week ago and hardly anything has been touched - apart from the woodpeckers who are getting through the peanuts at their usual massive rate (four nests of them in the garden still in the poplar trees - high rise living).

In the last week birds have just started to come back into garden, but not as many as it used to be, at one stage we didn't have a bird in the garden, now farmer has moved his wheat out of the shed their starting to come back  and eat the food we put out :yikes:

Not as many birds here as usual, even a lot of the Sparrows have disappeared.

I still get the same amount of birds but i have to stop the cats from getting in under the side gate, i put some barricades at the bottom of the gate but have to move them in the evening for the hedgehogs.
