After 16 years we seem to be down to just one crow. We had three here every day until last year and the other two until a couple of weeks ago. I have only seen one since then. They're normally around early in the morning to tidy up under the bird feeders and then pop in a few times a day.

The colouring on this female mallard is beautiful, but she is going to have a hard time surviving as she shines like a beacon in the sunlight. She is either a hybrid or is a result of Leucism. That said, her prince charming loves her just the way she is. :dbgrtmb:

Hi, update on my robin sitting on eggs in the garden room. Robin is still sitting on the eggs , it’s been quite a while now, but, I’ve just noticed a small robins egg on the plant pot next to Andy just a little higher than the Robin sitting on her nest on the bench. Do you thinks it’s a predator taking one out of her nest. . We have been told there is a problem with rats here, I think it’s because of a lot of ground works next to the river disturbing them and they are moving out to visit us. Any ideas and solutions please. V

@vbgr I don't think a predator would take it out of the nest and just leave it, it is probably cold and addled. I would just remove it and hope she successfully incubates the other eggs.

@stronglylodon hi, thanks for that. It’s still there and the robin is still sitting on the nest. If it was addled would she remove the egg herself. I’m looking forward to being able to move about the room soon and I’ll try and get the egg when she moves away from The nest to feed. We are being careful in the hope that she has a successful brood. Thanks again, V
