I had an amazing morning watching Great Bustards, particularly a male displaying in full finery, on Salisbury Plain, courtesy of the Great Bustard Group. These were wild birds on a farm, although there have been some reintroductions.

Extremely lucky to see a mum with two chicks, always wary of predators.

This was definitely a-buzzing near me, as it tried to get back out of the lounge! 3B00C1EF-2986-472D-B525-0DC44E2B47EE.jpeg a broad-backed chaser dragonfly - aka a seriously big buzzer!!

I don't usually look at this thread ... too many feathers and beaks :frown:

The creature in the photo is neither buzzing nor flying so you'll have to pretend it is because I don't know where else to show it.
It's a bee eating spider, it kills bees and I often find dead ones on the flowers in my garden ... too bad when we need them so much :frown:

@Michael Hewett It's a female Crab Spider, the male is tiny, a sixth of her size. They will eat anything they can catch.

No photos as not much to show really, but yesterday I quite enjoyed spending about an hour watching the Leaf-cutter Bees emerging from their nesting chambers in my bee home. They make a peculiar noise and also chew the leaves to get out, I think. Helped a couple that seemed to be seriously struggling to emerge with a toothpick! Felt kinda proud of them all!

We recently had a Greenfinch visit for the first time in 6 years, today two came briefly and quickly snapped two pics through the conservatory windows before they flew off.
