    Just seen my first Partrigde, never seen one in all the time i've lived here

    Also, may be a Little Owl may have returned been noticing poo pellets about, been 20 year's senice the last one i've seen :yahoo:hopefully feeding and incouraging the voles are paying off :dbgrtmb:

      In the garden early evening yesterday I heard a thump. A Kestrel had landed on the gutter at the corner of my bungalow hoping to snatch a Sparrow - it missed.

                        Today we spotted a fledgling sparrow sitting on the back of our garden seat. It had no fear and we could get really close to it. It then flew right over my wife's shoulder to land on the car. Mum soon appeared to shepherd it off someplace safer.

                              Thankyou @Sheal, I have been trying to get flight shots but the bridge camera has limitations and I can only get them with a high shutter speed in strong light.:smile:

                                Yes, it's not easy with a bridge camera Strongy. I tend to put mine on the speed setting but even then it's a bit hit and miss because of the EVF. My DSLR is much better for speed shots but not having a large lens for that, the zoom range is limited.
