          Well caught Jiffy, I mean you catching the shot, not the bird catching the Pigeon. :) It looks like a Sparrowhawk to me.

            Today our red kite was circling above our garden, as usual, with two young ones accompanying him. One on either side and slightly behind him. No chance to take a photo. The adult was gliding as usual but the kids needed to flap their wings occasionally :)

              The Sparrowhawk caaut the Pigeon moments before so i put out my action camera to catch him/she coming back for it

                @Jiffy, male, they have the orangey breast. The female's is grey.

                Six Cattle Egrets were at a farm nearby.
                It's amazing to remember that all three Egrets have just colonised the UK in the last 30 years.
