Waiting for TT to get underway Friday evening I took these shots from my car while I was picnic-ing and as you can see they were helping me to eat it! :)

@strongylodon I thought this first bird was possibly a Crow, it was to big for a Jackdaw so what do you think please?

Both birds were having an aerial fight over the food.

Like I said Strongy, I really must start stalking you soon!

Sheal, I've never seen a two tone bird like that, well spotted! I hope someone can ID it?

We've got quite a lot of birds here with this sort of unusual colouring but the first time I've seen a crow? Usually it's Jackdaws and the occasional Blackbird.

@Sheal, it is a hooded crow. It is common in Ireland and the north and east of Scotland. It interbreeds with carrion crow where both are around. I'd like to see one myself :).

@strongylodon, love the photos of the eagle, you caught its profile nicely:dbgrtmb:.

My rather scruffy little blackie. He's finding this 'ere "family" lark a bit stressful and comes to me for the odd treat or two....;)

He does look a bit sorry for himself Jenny, looks like a bad moult. I'm sure you'll feed him up and help get him back to fine fettle. :)

Stangely even though others had DSLRs, I was the only one to get a face on pic! it's gone on the Birds of Poole Harbour website.
There were 200 twitchers there yesterday once word was spread and it was still there this morning and again many watchers.

Love the Hooded Crow Sheal, only seen them in Cyprus and Crete.:dbgrtmb:
