Lovely! would you like some Starlings in return, they cost more than the dog to feed! :-)

No thanks, Yvonne, as they're on the increase in numbers, along with the Sparrows. The Starlings queue up at the Peanut Holder while the Sparrows compete for places at the Seed Feeders and Fatball Holder. The Thrushes usually give way to the Blackbirds for the Sultanas at the base of the main Bird Bath but still get their fair share!!:snork:

Your Starling queue?! I watch re-runs of Fight Club several times a day! The wood pigeons sit underneath and cash in on the split seed.

They're very polite around here. You get the occasional Starling who will sit on the top the pole holding the feeders and berate the others but otherwise no rowdies. The Pigeons and Doves sit in the wide dishes I've attached to the bottom of the seed feeders to catch seed spillage and use their weight to tip the feeders sideways to get more seed out...crafty!!! The Blackbirds are the Bosses who tell any one off including my two Cats. In the morning I put the Sultanas at the base of the Main Bird Bath and while I'm doing it the Blackbirds are scolding me to do it faster and get out of the way!!:snork:

Well, he/she wouldn't starve as there's plenty of natural food, feeders of Nuts, Seeds, with Sultanas at the base of the main Bird Bath.:heehee:

No wonder the local bird population is thriving with us soft touches feeding them gourmet dinners :-)

Had a trip back to Weymouth with our Nature group today, this was different as we went on the glass bottomed boat for a cruise along the Fleet lagoon at Chesil beach. The water was so murky we weren't going to see anything below so we concentrated on the bird life.
A sadly declining breeding bird the Little Tern is just holding on here, the nesting site is fenced off with a 24hr watch to keep predators, Foxes, Gulls and Ravens away as well as people and dogs. The boat is no threat as it stays at a distance and these birds are outside the fenced area.[IMG]

A Sandwich Tern was also present.
