Jenny, now they have colonised Bournemouth Airport, we keep getting Lesser Spotted and Great Crested Ryanairs overhead.

Sedge Warbler, Swineham Point Wareham, one of dozens, mainly youngsters and stocking up for possibly a nonstop flight to West Africa.

10 minutes walk from our house, among hedgerows we saw a family of whitethroat, this youngster is just so cute

While my attention was on whitethroats, this fellow landed nearby. I thought it was a young Siskin at first, turned out to be a yellowhammer which I've never seen before. Felt quite excited that these birds lives so near to me.

On the way back home, I took a few snap shots of house martins swooping around a building. Only after loading the photos on the computer did I see the house sparrow on the gutter and a swallow resting on the roof tile.
                image.jpg

And the swallow took to its wing.

Yep, she was quite co-operative, Jenny, but the conditions weren't.:wallbanging: It was very breezy and gusting so the flower head was jumping and swinging around so it took a little patience to get the shots especially as I was kneeling down and trying to keep my hands steady.:hate-shocked::snork:

Walking around Lanhydrock gardens the other day, we spotted this fledgling thrush in a flower bed. It just sat there unconcerned, with people passing within inches. Mrs Trunky managed to get this photo of it. :)
