oh yes there is Jiffy. A dawn chorus of gulls is something ( living inland some 10 miles form the sea) I can do without,
      Jenny
and I don't like them pooping on the car, the garden bench, the patio, ect.ect.ect.

Good evening Jenny that's a shame they hold such pleasurable memories for me as in my younger days the only time we saw and heard any seagulls was when we went down to the seaside as we called it,and that wasn't very often, when we awoke in the mornings ,they were the first sound that we heard and then we knew where we were, probably that's why they are special to me;)

I understand Woo and visually, they are outstanding and very photogenic. One made me larf down on the seafront last year. He swooped down to grab an ice cream cone and managed to get it down with the widest bit clearly visible deep in his throat with the cone rim very visible,
didn't have the camera of course,

                            IMG_0388.JPG

This bird sat close to me for some while, he doesn't look like a gull, any ideas? I noticed he was 'rung' so could well be a Manx recorded bird.

Not the best of shots again but this Goldfinch was stripping seeds from the grass.

A lovely set of piccies Sheal,
worth your patience. Great to see a Goldfinch eating "au naturel" instead of at the garden feeder. Looking forward to the ID replies,
                              Jenny
