    To be honest the shots aren't as good as they should have been. The breeze was really strong and the Teasels were rocking in the breeze so one second I had a Bee in my view finder and the next I hadn't! I had to admire the Bee though for sheer persistence in hanging onto the Teasel!!

      We've got thousands of these around the garden but I've no idea what they are! Some of them have bright red markings behind the head.

              Sorry Shiney, my fault for not looking carefully enough earlier. Now I have my eyeglasses on and here is my new id:

              they are sawflies, could be turnip sawfly, or skullcap sawfly, or this.
