Great photos Trunky. That elegant bird is a Snipe I reckon. Wonderful plumage,

Caught a couple of buzzies "sunbathing" on my rear fence ... (apologies for the poor camera) ..

Mr Bumble (who kept doing some sort of elongating body thing ... )

Then came Mr Butterfly .... (who just spread out and thought of ... England? :noidea: )

Really lovely to have such beautiful visitors as I was relaxing in the quiet spot of my garden

Trunky, the bird behind the Lapwing is a Godwit ,possibly Bar Tailed and yes they are Black Headed Gulls (which are actually brown).

Yours and Trunky's are both Black Tailed Godwits, longer legs and a straight bill compared to the Bar Tailed, the difference in tails is really only noticeable when flying:blue thumb:

Strongy, I reckon he's checking out the comfort zone prior to next years breeding season. :)

It's a brand new box (put up in August) so there have not been any previous tenants and no rubbish to clear out.

I managed a short walk around a part of Upton CP as there was a Volunteers meeting and saw a few bits and bobs.

The Pintail were some distance away and backlit by the sun and their colours didn't really show up, unlike the Jay.
