Is that a first Woo? they are normally shy birds and a long lens is helpful.

I got out this morning but didn't see much, as it as very misty with poor light but the sun came out now and then.

                Marvellous pictures all:wub2:...

I know I've mentioned this before but I adore Male Bullfinches.A few years back one winter the garden was full of them and I remember saying to myself "I wish I could see one close up" ..It was thick snow outside ,within seconds there was a thud on the window:sad: when I went outside there was the 'close up' I 'wanted' ,the poor little thing was laid on his back in the snow:sad: never forgotten that sorry little sight. It's right what they say "be careful what you wish for"...

Thanks Woo but I don't think they are of that quality, I am using manual much more but still shoot in jpeg and not raw. It's probably more of a case of quantity rather than quality but I keep trying

Marsh Tit in the garden yesterday, Greater Spotted Woodpecker the day before, didn't see either but my neighbour let me know.

Everything just seems so grey and depressing in pics at the moment, must make some fatballs and get 'our' robin outside the kitchen window again to brighten up the day.

Lovely pictures Woo! It amazes me how the birds stay so white and clean wandering around in the mud.
