The lovely robins are now out in force. :blue thumb:

I spotted seven of them, all at the same time, from my kitchen window. Three on the bird feeders and two beneath the feeders (they never fight around the feeders) and two just outside the kitchen.

also enjoying the garden were nine pheasants, two pairs of collared doves (still chasing the magpies away), a family of woodpeckers and at least 15 other varieties.

I won't be able to do the 'Big birdwatch' but am I allowed to do it a day early?

Yes Mr Shiney - do it a day early. Your results are especially important because of the type and variety of birds that you have. Far greater than most I think,
                  Jenny

The feeders at Holten Lee nature reserve had just been filled and after a long wait and the other four Tits coming and going, the Marsh Tit turned up. It only stops for a second and goes off to bury it's food.

It was great to see five species of Tits on half an hour. The two I have never seen are the Willow Tit, very rare now and the Crested Tit which is only found in certain areas of Scotland.
