Saw the first butterfly of the year at our plot this afternoon! Couldn't get very close but appeared to be a Tortoiseshell. I hope it finds somewhere snug to sleep tonight.

              :grphg:

The trick to dealing with being put down is: remembering that from there, you can only look *up* ;)

We all love you Jiffster :grphg:
And, you have definitely given me more than the odd chuckle on here (and I do tend to have a bias towards people who make me chuckle :wub2: )

Yesterday there was a bee with an obesity problem on my Hellebore, it was HUGE and very fuzzy - couldn't believe my eyes I thought it was way to early for those guys. Didn't stay long so couldn't snap a pic, but it's a good start!

Took a wander alongside the River Deben at Woodbridge this morning.

There were plenty of these rummaging around in the seaweed, I think I'm right in saying they are Turnstones?

This photo shows how well their camouflage works against the mud and seaweed.

The gulls were out in force down by the tide mill.

A few more from this morning's walk along the Deben. It gave Mrs Trunky the chance to try out the new lens I bought for her birthday last month, must say I'm quite impressed with her efforts.

I think this is a Black-Tailed Godwit, not sure though.

Yep, it's quite a tourist attraction and very popular with artists and photographers too.
It's one of only two working tide mills left in the country now, the other one is not far from you, at Eling in Hampshire
