Trunky your Godwit is a Black Tailed but hard to determine from the front as the bill needs to be seen sideways (straight or not) but the length of the legs shows it to be a Blackwit.
There are a couple of thousand here in Poole harbour but few Bar Tailed Godwits.

    Great Turnstone close up.:dbgrtmb:

We had a visit from a lovely robin today. This made me very happy as they never come into our garden because of the cats! I've been trying to make it more bird friendly and it seems to be working! :)

Oh Woo, Capstone Park, my spiritual homeland! I love it up there, I am on the list for volunteering to keep it nice, I have known that Heron since he was a fluffball, just a bit sad that he's hand tame now, I have thousands of pics of him and the grumpy Cormorant, lol. We call the three geese "the doormen" as they move around together like bouncers! If you see a large woolly smelly yeti type blonde dog up there on the end of an extension lead, paddling up and down cooling his paws in the lake, at the steps bit, together with a wild eyed woman sporting a maroon Nikon camera round her neck, you have run into Baldrick and I, please make yourself known and for your bravery I shall treat you to a muffin and coffee in the little cafe that the two robins manage and woe betide any other bird that tries to move in on their patch!! x x x

He/she stayed for about five minutes, but he/she comes in for lunch most days, nice to see it but the smaller birds don't like it at all, he/she also comes in for a bath as well
