Woo, I like Magpies, I know they can be a nuisance but they have character. :)

Chiffchaff in the back garden early this morning, possibly a new arrival.

A quick shot as they are very wary and the blinds got in the way!

Not exactly buzzing or flying but look what my children bought me for Mothers Day. :) He stands almost 3ft tall. He needs time to mellow and with some plants around him at a later point I think he will look perfect lording it over the garden. :)

The electricity company are being very slow Shiney, but most companies over here are! :) They are busy replacing poles for the overhead cables on the road that runs to the side of ours, to me it would make more sense to put those underground as well but who knows how these people think things out.

As you can see I've cleared most things out of the top tier of the bed including the two clematis that were growing round the pole so they don't get trampled, but when the pole will be removed I don't know. :noidea:I'm hoping it happens before the end of May so I can at least get my annuals into the bed.

Thanks Jenny. I've wanted one for years and when I couldn't find the right one I put it to the back of my mind, but my children have come up trumps today. :)

Woodies are welcome in my garden. The collared doves keep those and the magpies under control :dbgrtmb:. The doves can be quite aggressive. :)
