The pheasants were out in force today but the males disappeared before I could grab the camera. Two of them, 'the silver' and the 'gold' ones, were happily feeding together.

This was the other day when one of the normal coloured ones was wanting to know what I was doing.

and yesterday the 'silver' one was around quite a lot.

This morning there were ten females (two had just gone out of shot)

A few 'odds and ends' this morning.

      Robin with a mouthful.

Stock Dove, unlike the Woodie, it has no white patch and a 'kinder' face as well as it's head is in proportion to it's body.

An interesting thing has happened since placing my owl in the garden. It could be coincidence but there's not been a sparrow or starling in or around the garden today. There are usually around twenty to thirty sparrows and at times up to a hundred starlings. Could it be they sense it's a genuine bird of prey?

Mrs Shiney put out a bowl of cous-cous with peas and carrots in it (she'd made a whole load of it for a get-together with some friends and there was some left over) and the robins absolutely loved it! :blue thumb: The female pheasants and the magpies have now found it.

Last Wheatear I saw last November was at Baiter, Poole Park, guess where the first one this Spring was!
Baiter this morning, the only one, but with so many dogs running loose I'm surprised it landed there!
He won't stay long, he will be in a hurry to establish a territory up North somewhere.
                          A nice fresh male.
