              Bee in one of my tunnels earlier today, nearly 25mm/one inch long with distinctive banding of the abdomen, couldn't get a clear pic as it wouldn't stay still and I react very badly to bee stings, rescued it with one of the seaside kid's fishing nets I keep in every tunnel/greenhouse for rescuing insects. Maybe @Spruce will know what it was.

                Lackford Lakes nature reserve today. One of the highlights was a family of Canada geese with goslings in tow. :)

                      ....sorry, the bumbles look fine and cute on the laptop, peeping out of the nestbox, just as they did in real life. But doesn't work v well on the tablet...
